Hey! I'm Rocky and I am one fine looking boy that is looking to find my "forever" home! I was picked up by a kind humane deputy from a house in a busy neighborhood. I have waited at the shelter for my owners to claim me, but no one ever came. I have enjoyed my time here, but I am now ready to move on to my new home. I am a three-year-old terrier mix. I have all of my vaccinations, I have a microchip, and I have been neutered. One small problem did show up on my health check up. It seems that I am heartworm positive. I am not worried! I know the shelter has my "back" and will help me through treatment! I hope that someone will want to add me to their family. I can't wait to meet you!

The placement of our adoptable animals into loving, caring homes and thereby enhancing the bond between animals and people is the primary goal of the Montgomery Humane Society Adoption Program. We focus on education so that every pet owner benefits from their contact with the shelter, whether or not they adopt an animal from us. Matching the needs of the animal and the potential owner, as well as educating potential owners about responsible pet ownership, helps to ensure successful pet placements of shelter animals.
