My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Welp! Howdy do! I'm Barney and I am mighty happy to meet you! I am an adorable two-year-old terrier mix that is looking to find a great new home! I was lost in a neighborhood not too long ago and Animal Control was called about me! Well I was might happy to see the nice deputy pull up beside me! I hopped in the van and away we went! I waited my allotted time and I am now ready for adoption. I have all of my vaccinations, I have a microchip, and I have been neutered. One small problem did show up on my health check up. It seems that I am heartworm positive! YIKES! But no worries! The shelter already has my treatment all set up! I bet they can find me a great new home too!

Additional adoption info

The placement of our adoptable animals into loving, caring homes and thereby enhancing the bond between animals and people is the primary goal of the Montgomery Humane Society Adoption Program. We focus on education so that every pet owner benefits from their contact with the shelter, whether or not they adopt an animal from us. Matching the needs of the animal and the potential owner, as well as educating potential owners about responsible pet ownership, helps to ensure successful pet placements of shelter animals.
