My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Handsome Neno is a two time visitor to our rescue. Initially, Neno came to us in 2019 after the family toddlers had frayed his last nerve. When our shelter contacts diverted Neno to us, we welcomed him heartily!

Not all dogs enjoy frantic kid affection, so we placed Neno with an active senior and the match seemed made in heaven. When unforeseen health issues required Neno’s adopter to move in with family, the kid issue again came into play.

At 9 years old, Neno is ready for his third act in a quiet, calm adult home where he can unwind and be himself. Neno is a medium energy dog, who would prefer a quiet vibe. He could easily thrive in a serene adult home with other mellow dogs.

It seems to us that Neno is a comical mix of Dachshund and Chihuahua, a Chiweenie! He has a stout physique, slightly elongated spine and half mast, floppy ears. He is a splendid looking, muscular dog at just 17 pounds. He has a fantastic presence for a small dog.

Neno has good house manners and is house trained and crate trained. Adopters should expect to troubleshoot the occasional accident that will inevitably occur during his transition to a new home. He is in optimal health, and has been neutered. He has received routine vaccinations and health screenings.

If you are interested in Neno, please write to Denise at Angelsfrgod@aol.com or call/text Denise at 860-908-9738 for more info.

Additional adoption info

When we receive your completed application we will check your references, including your veterinarian, and then call you to discuss your situation and requirements.. If you are approved for adoption, we can then discuss with you which of the dogs might fit best into your life. We will either arrange for you to visit the dog in its foster home, by appointment, or transport the dog to your home.

To help cover the veterinary expenses of our foster Eskies and to support our rescue effort, Eskies Online will charge you an adoption fee of $350.00. We do not sell dogs. We charge a flat fee--whether the Eskie is a puppy or an older dog; whether it came to us with minimal veterinary needs or requiring major medical care; whether the Eskie makes a short or a long stay in our foster system.

More about this rescue

Eskies Online is a 501(c)(3) Multibreed rescue group that serves unwanted American Eskimos and other dogs in need and finds qualified, permanent, adoptive homes for them. In the foster home environment, we are able to evaluate the dog's temperament and behavior patterns away from the stress of shelter life. Eskies Online is funded entirely through adoption fees, donations and the generosity our volunteers.
