My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Trudy is a lovely lady who has seen a thing or two. She is 9 years old and has no doubt travelled some miles. Her journeys have led her here to Hillside, but the next journey will be the best- when she finds a home of her own. Being an older gal she doesn’t do false pretenses. Trudy likes to keep to herself here most of the time, but she is friendly once she gets to know you. We are hoping someone with patience, understanding and compassion will cross paths with Trudy- she truly does deserve a loving home where her boundaries are respected, and she is loved simply the way she is. She’s a sweet older gal who deserves a home she can cuddle in somewhere comfy

More about this rescue

We are a non-profit, no kill spca. We will adopt out as many animals as we can, but if they never get homes, that's fine, either us workers will take them home, or they will be life time residents. They love it at the shelter. We do not house our dogs in kennels, they have big yards to run in all day, and only sleep in kennels at night. We are one unique shelter.
