Shelter FAQs
We are a non-profit, no kill spca. We will adopt out as many animals as we can, but if they never get homes, that's fine, either us workers will take them home, or they will be life time residents. They love it at the shelter. We do not house our dogs in kennels, they have big yards to run in all day, and only sleep in kennels at night. We are one unique shelter.
Mainly Schuylkill County, but we will adopt to any one who we find to be wonderful pet owners, who can get themselves to the shelter.
Adoption steps
- Submit ApplicationAdopters are welcome to submit their application before or after visiting our shelter. We encourage doing so before for a smooth adoption.
- Approve ApplicationA representative will reach out (usually via email) when processing your application.
- Sign Adoption Contract

All potential adopters are required to fill out an online application linked below. Submitting of the application does not guarantee approval. We do require all animals in the home to be up-to-date on shots and spayed or neutered. Please allow 5 to 7 business days for us to process your application.

Puppies &adult dogs- $325
Senior dogs (over 8yrs)- $100
Kittens & adult cats- $100
Senior cats (over 10yrs)- $80
Small critters - $20
