My name is Valentino!

Vibrating with puppy enthusiasm and energy is 10-month-old Valentino! A 48-pound blend of active and affectionate, he’s happy and goofy, confident and curious, and makes his foster mom laugh as he rolls around on his back for belly rubs, sprints laps through the house and “crashes” for well-deserved naps. Although he loves being petted and cuddled, giving kisses and prancing excitedly about, he’s easy to calm and distract, and is surprisingly self-sufficient when it comes to playing. Not only does Valentino LOVE playing with every one of his many toys on a rotation basis, he loves throwing a ball to himself and chasing it, shaking it and running around with it. He also loves going for walks, improving his leash skills daily, and engaging with other dogs, learning all about boundaries as he does. Especially fond of Kongs and puzzle toys with food in them, he’s highly motivated by food and toys and currently knows “sit,” “down” and “no.” He relaxes inside his crate when his foster mom is gone, “puts himself to bed” in it, sleeping soundly all night, and is almost fully house-trained. Now what Valentino needs is an active home, preferably with a yard/and or an energetic doggy playmate, and affectionate adopters who will patiently complete his training, including his commands, and relish his rollicking journey from puppyhood to maturity. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application received in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails).

If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. 

The adoption fee for this pet is $425. Our adoption fee covers the following:

Spay/neuter

Microchip

DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all DAPP boosters after adoption.

Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for any rabies vaccinations after adoption.

Our adoption process is:

1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet.

2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
