My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please welcome Chief! We decided to name this sweet boy Chief as his whole life was about to change as he entered our sanctuary. You see, Chief means "the leader or ruler" and a "Chief" he was anything but when we met him. He was dumped at one of the feral colonies we have taken care of for many years. Not only was this sweet, non-feral cat dumped in a strange place in which he did not know how to find shelter or nourishment, he also could not fend for himself. He was continuously being beaten up by the other cats at the colony.

When we welcomed Chief to the sanctuary, we quickly found out that this boy is a LOVER! He will climb on your lap and push his face into you for love. That's all he wants to do - be loved by you! Chief is a dilute orange domestic shorthair that is around 2 years old. Chief is FIV positive and would do well in a house with a stable social cat structure. He is seriously such an amazing, one-of-a-kind kitty who deserves to be the chief of his family's heart.

If you are interested in meeting or learning more about Chief, please consider submitting an application skysanctuaryrescue.org/applications and we would be happy to answer any questions you might have or set up a time for you to meet Chief.

Additional adoption info

Adoption fees vary between $165-$350. That includes all medical vetting, UTD vaccines, spay/neuter, lifetime microchip, an escape proof harness lead and collar & tag. Also, since some our dogs are such a huge flight risk, there may be additional steps needing to happen before the adoption is completed.

More about this rescue

We are a small group of passionate animal advocates that specialize in the humane capture and rescue of stray, fearful and injured animals from the streets of Maricopa County. We also assist pet owners as well as other rescue groups to recover their lost animals. We provide our dogs with a safe place to decompress, learn to trust and receive medical treatment until they are ready to find a forever home. The dogs that we take in are typically more difficult to place due to being fearful and high flight risks. Our animals require special adopters who are patient, diligent and very precautionary in order to keep our "trap dogs" safe. These animals are our passion and we will always do what is best for every animal that crosses our path.
