My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Panda, the embodiment of pure love and sweetness! This charming soul brings life and laughter into any home with her endlessly affectionate nature and vibrant spirit. Panda isn't just a pet; she's a cuddly companion with a highly expressive personality that will surely melt your heart. Her antics are not only adorable but also endlessly entertaining, making every moment with her delightful.

Panda's intelligence shines through her daily behaviors; she communicates her needs clearly, whether it's time to go outside for a potty break or to indulge in some playful activities. Her love for toys and treats knows no bounds, and there's nothing more heartwarming than watching her joyously bound towards you, her excitement palpable as she navigates through the long grass.

Not only does Panda excel in spreading joy, but she's also a model of good manners. She has mastered the command 'sit' and carries herself with grace and good behavior that's truly admirable. Panda's respectful nature extends to her handling of toys and treats; she cherishes them without a hint of destructiveness. Both house and crate trained, she values the comfort and routine of her home environment.

Bedtime is a special ritual for Panda; she revels in receiving a cuddle and a gentle song, drifting off to sleep with a sense of peace and security. Her nurturing instincts are evident not only in her history as an excellent mother but also in her interactions with children and other dogs. Panda is a gentle soul who navigates her social world with grace, offering kind warnings when needed but always maintaining a serene demeanor.

Panda's leash manners are impeccable, making walks an enjoyable activity for both her and her companion. She's a contemplative creature, often found gazing out the window, mesmerized by the natural beauty of trees swaying in the wind. Despite her quiet nature, Panda is alert and communicative, barking only when necessary to alert her family or express a need.

Her calmness doesn't diminish her zest for life; Panda loves her walks and embodies a mellow spirit that's perfectly balanced with her enthusiasm for adventure.

If you're seeking a furry companion who embodies love, laughter, and loyalty, Panda is waiting to fill your life with joy and companionship. Her sweet nature and loving heart make her the perfect addition to any family, promising endless cuddles, laughter, and love.

More about this rescue

Sonoma's Haven Inc. 501(c)3 organization was founded in June 2015 after seeing the shortage of fosters that are able to take in rescue dogs needing a safe place to stay until they are adopted. This is a crucial part of the process and Sonoma’s Haven is here to help the rescues. Without space for a dog to go they are unable to intake the dog. Sometimes the situation is urgent and they cannot wait for a foster to step up or the dog might need help medically and emotionally before its ready to be in a home setting. Our organization creates a safe atmosphere for dogs to begin the process of healing and learning the joys of life. We finished our new facility in Sealy, Tx in June 2018. We were able to include a lounge area in our building design which allows dogs to enjoy some of the things usually only dogs in a home environment experience. The lounge includes super comfy couches for them to hang out on and decompress and just get some one on one attention from staff and volunteers. All of our staff members have a passion for caring for these dogs that stay with us. We get to be a stepping stone for these dogs as they learn how to trust humans again and enjoy what it is supposed to be like for a dog. We have a large fenced area that they get to run and play in. Understanding that the dogs here are searching for that perfect foster/forever home we like to capture photos and videos of the dogs to assist the rescues in their efforts to network the dogs.
