My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Looks like: Chihuahua mix
Female, 13 years old (estimated), 4 pounds

Sweet little Queeny has been through a rough patch lately, and before joining our program, she did not get a chance to live life to the fullest. She is now eager to catch up on the finer things in life: plenty of snuggles, lots of sleep in a cozy warm bed, regular meals and treats, and brief moseys around the sunny side of the yard. This incredibly resilient lady is friendly when meeting new people and would love nothing more than to land in a safe, quiet, and loving home and to be near her humans for a good chunk of the day; she is also content when home alone now and then. While Queeny walks just fine, she has decided that, for now, going for walks is just not so much her thing, but she still enjoys seeing the world from the comfort of someone's arms or from the backseat of the car. She is respectful with other dogs as well as cats, mostly by showing indifference and staying out of the way, but she does not have any known experience with children.

At her foster home, Queeny is very quiet and soundly sleeps for a good part of the day. When she is awake, she is interactive and devoted to her person. She may prefer to be the only dog in the household, unless her canine companion is equally mellow and aloof. Due to her kidney disease, she needs frequent reminders for potty breaks, but is otherwise a very undemanding housemate. This perfectly sweet gal dreams of a peaceful home with doting humans who will make her golden days extra special.

Queeny was surrendered to Hitchcock Road Animal Services from a neglected situation.
