My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet BREE, a beautiful adult female kitty with a sleek brown tabby coat.  She came to our rescue when her owners found they had too many cats to care for.  While Bree doesn’t show much interest in toys, she’s definitely no couch potato!  Bree loves to hang out at the top of her cat tree to observe all of the goings on.  Shy at first, once she has acclimated, she will run over to you when you come in the door seeking your attention!  She is always looking for pets, rolling on her back, rubbing against her people, and she has a giant purr motor!  Bree gets along well with Cupcake, or would be good on her own or with other cats after a slow introduction.  If you are looking for a mellow cat that has a lot of love to give, Bree may be your girl.

BREE has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. You can meet BREE at the cattery inside our partner PetSmart in North Eugene (2847 Chad Dr, across from Costco).  Please submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at the store, and an adoption counselor will contact you to set up a meet and greet. The $100 adoption fee ($170 if adopted with Cupcake)  allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. These documents are available through e-mail or at our adoption events. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the dog or cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, De-wormed, treated with flea medication, spayed or neutered, and cats are felv/fiv tested.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for cats and kittens of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette; PetCo by Valley River Center and Wags Dog Emporium on Coburg Rd. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help Cat Rescue & Adoption Network save as many animal lives as possible.
