Tank is a sweet little puppy that will capture you heart and soul with his expressive eyes. He loves to play, spend time with humans, and give lots of kisses. Tank is a gentleman who is eager to please.
Tank is dog-friendly, cat-friendly, and kid-friendly. He is a social butterfly who loves everything and everyone. He enjoys playing with other dogs, couch time, brushing and tug of war games. Tank is moderate energy and only needs daily play and walks to be happy.
Tank does have pulmonic stenosis, which means one of his valves to his heart is a bit too narrow. Tank currently takes daily medication for this condition with his meals. Despite this condition, Tank may live a long, happy life without ever having issues. Tank may also have a reduced lifespan due to this condition. Tank is currently established with a cardiologist at Oakvet in Oakland, but his care could be transferred to another veterinarian if desired. Currently, he is recommended to see a cardiologist for checkups once or twice a year and to continue his heart medication for life. His medication is atenolol and is inexpensive ranging from $5- 40 per month.
Tank is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. All Better World Rescue dogs qualify for complimentary private and/or group training to help ensure a successful adoption. If you would like to meet Tank to see if he is a good fit for your family, please fill out our adoption application: www.betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application Upon receipt of your application, one of our passionate volunteers will call within one business day to answer any questions and schedule a meet.
