My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sugar is saying please, please pet me! She is estimated to be about 2 years old and weighs 30 pounds.

Sugar is such a sweet girl with a heartwarming and playful personality. She just yearns to be loved and to be close to you, oh, she gives the best hugs ever too! Not only that, but just look at that darling face, her cute black speckles and loving eyes. She's very intelligent, and is always eager to learn new things, whether it's learning new commands or making new friends. Sugar can be a little shy though and unsure, it seems like she may not have been exposed to a lot of things in life. She is looking for a family who can spend a lot of time with her to help her learn and grow. Sugar is going to make a such wonderful companion, she's a great listener and will always be there when you need her. Her adopter should have understanding of the exercise and mental stimulation needs of the herding breed, she's an active dog who would love an active owner who can take her on long walks and adventures. A home where any children are at least 8 years old is what she needs. Sugar is so excited to find her furever home, she is truly bursting with so much love to give.

If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Sugar would love to meet them. She has an “all in” playstyle with playbows, too cute!

If you are interested in Sugar and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend!

*Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*
