My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can just tell by looking at these photos that Midge is sweet. The first picture is so appropriate because she's a real love bug! She is a two year old 40 pound terrier pit bulldog mix that arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 4/4 as a stray. You can see that she's recently had a litter. She's also too thin and needs some kibbles to put more meat on her bones. When I met her at her kennel she literally tried to hug me through the kennel bars. That was a first for me. She's starving for love. When I stood by a wall, she came up and leaned on me. The whole time she was out in the yard she stayed close, looking up at me with her engaging eyes. She's well mannered and sits for treats, even though she doesn't stay in a sitting position for very long. She chases balls, but doesn't retrieve them. Her tail wags constantly. She's a happy girl with a good outlook on life. She is looking forward to being adopted into a loving home.... a family that appreciates all her positive attributes. She is very sweet, laid-back, friendly, affectionate, and well mannered. She was not interested in meeting other dogs, but did not have a negative reaction either. She had a semi-strong pull on the leash. She's waiting patiently for her forever home. She'd love to have some children to love on. If they would be gentle with her, she will be gentle with them. She would need a yard, but would want to spend most of the time inside with her family.
