My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Sage, the vibrant two-year-old blue merle girl Collie who is ready to bring boundless energy and endless love into your home! 🐾 Sage is a playful pup who adores people and is always ready for a game of tug-of-war or a squeaky toy symphony! She's not your typical fetch enthusiast—she's all about toys! 🎾 In fact, she's quite the toy connoisseur, with a collection that would make any pup jealous!

Sage has a special knack for taking charge, especially when it comes to her furry friends and her territory—the house. 🏡 Her journey began in a challenging hoarding case, where she had to fight for her share of food. But don't worry, she's learned that sharing is caring, and she's ready to share all her love with you! 🍗 With the right guidance and care, Sage will blossom into the happy and confident pup she was meant to be.

Sage is on the lookout for a loving home where she can stretch her legs and explore freely without the need for confinement. If you currently crate your furry friends, Sage kindly requests that you keep looking for the perfect match. She's all about freedom and fun, and she can't wait to find a family who shares her values. 🐾

With her love for adventure, Sage would thrive in a home with a secure backyard where she can run and play to her heart's content. And when it's time to relax, she'll cuddle up next to you and melt away all your worries. 💤

Despite her tough beginnings, Sage is incredibly cute and sweet, capturing hearts with her charming personality. And even though she may have a few fears, like the blender and coffee grinder, she's not afraid to show her silly side! 🙈 Just try not to laugh when she tries to outsmart the vacuum cleaner!

If you're ready to open your heart and home to a furry friend who will bring laughter and love into your life, Sage is waiting to embark on this new journey with you. Come meet Sage and let her sprinkle your life with joy and happiness every day! ✨

More about this rescue

Coastal is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Virginia. We are a foster home based animal Shelter dedicated to finding loving new homes for unwanted, stray, and abandoned Shelties, Collies, Old English Sheepdogs, doodles and other small dogs. We serve Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, the District of Columbia, eastern West Virginia, and south central Pennsylvania, and are staffed solely by volunteers. We also strive to educate the public about the characteristics of the herding breed and the rewards of giving a home to a rescued dog.

The majority of the Coastal dogs are turned in to us by their previous owners.
