My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am a take charge kind of gal! I am very smart, quick, and know what I want. What I love most is treats so I will work for my rewards. I am very well trained and know my commands - sit, down, wait, place, and I walk on the leash like a champ. All this knowledge and ability can make me feel like I am the boss so I need someone who is confident and able to take charge.

I love people and I love other doggies! Mayday will assist with intros to ensure a good fit. Because I can be so bossy older children would work better.

I have a skin condition from very bad sunburns. No sunbathing for this babe! I need to wear sunblock & I have a special jacket to protect my skin. I'm also on a special diet for allergies. I've had back surgery, so I'm not allowed to jump on the furniture. You don't have to worry about furry furniture with me!

I love to play, run around, and go for walks. I also love food puzzles. You'll never be bored with me around!

More about this rescue

Mayday Pit Bull Rescue & Advocacy is an established, entirely volunteer run, 501c3 nonprofit. We focus on dogs with extreme medical, behavioral and special needs.  We are devoted to rescuing, rehabilitating and securing placement for pit bull and pit bull mixes into responsible, permanent and loving homes. We partner with national animal welfare organizations to assist dogs from dog fighting, hoarding and other crisis/emergency situations.

We strive to educate the public about the pit bull breed in order to relieve suffering and prevent cruelty.

We advocate responsible pit bull ownership and educate the public about breed specific legislation.

Mayday Pit Bull Rescue & Advocacy is made up of a small group of volunteers based in Phoenix, Arizona, who are dedicated to improving the lives of pit bulls and re-establishing the breed as a beloved family pet.

We work directly with local Animal Care and Control shelters to rescue pit bulls from euthanasia with the goal of rehabilitation and permanent placement.
