Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gummy came to us as a stray with a lot of physical needs. He was very underweight and needed extensive dental work. Thanks to the generosity of our public, UW Madison Dentistry, and Thompson’s Animal Medical Center he is back and better than ever!
This goofy and affectionate big boy loves to snuggle and loves his human! Despite his size he thinks he’s a lap dog. Gummy just wants to be close to you! He loves car rides. He jumps right in and loves to have his head out the window. He is also a very smart guy and knows sit, down and wait. With how food motivated he is, were almost certain he would love to learn more commands for food rewards. While spending time in his most recent foster home, he was doing very well with his potty training.
Despite not having a full mouth of teeth and multiple dental procedures, his appetite remains very strong!
He would do well in a house with other dogs but would prefer a home without cats.
He would also do well in a house with kids 8+ yrs old as he can get excited.
Overall, this big cuddle bug has been though a lot and is ready to make his forever home full of smiles and love!
Gummy Bear is a 5-year-old male Pit Bull Terrier who weighs 61 pounds.
Notes from foster: He loves to snuggle and can be so sweet, he does know his name and responds well to recall. He loves being by his people and will follow you into whatever room you're in. He thinks he is a lap dog and just wants to be with you. He loves being in the car and having his head out of the window, would recommend a buckle so he isn't jumping back and forth. He is very smart and knows sit, down, and wait. He is also potty trained and did well with our two dogs and did not mind them.
