Marmaduke came to Upper Credit on March 27, 2024 as a Stray injured cat in Milton. The property owner took Marmaduke in to be seen by a vet, X-rays were done and it was found that he had a soft tissue injury. Efforts were made to see if Marmaduke had an owner but he was known as the neighbourhood stray. Marmaduke has recovered from his soft tissue injury and has been neutered and tested negative for FIV and FELV. He is a little on the nervous side but we can see that he will come around soon. Marmaduke needs a safe home where he will not be let outside to get injured any more. Come have a visit with this sweet boy who just wants to be loved on his terms. Call the shelter to make an appointment or just stop in if you are in the area. Marmaduke awaits you.

If you are interested in an animal you’ve seen on our website, you can call 519-833-2287 or send an email to learn more about them. You can also stop by the shelter to meet the animal in person. It may take a few visits to find the animal that is a perfect match for you.

You can stop by the shelter Monday through Sunday from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm.

You may wish to call the shelter before visiting to confirm the location and availability of the animal you would like to meet. The UCHS staff can let you know if the animal is currently at the shelter or at one of our remote locations, such as a foster home, local pet supply store or our Thrift Shop.
