My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Galley is one of our longest rescue residents and has a SPONSORED adoption fee! He's a handsome guy who is estimated to be about 6 years old and weighs 70 pounds. Hes extremely food motivated and learns quickly. Galley is curious and independent, but enjoys company. Galley is friendly with humans, including kids, and is well mannered. He gets along well with medium-large dogs and has made a few friends while living in boarding! Galley is already neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped and had a recent heartworm test, which was negative. His adoption fee has been sponsored ($0). If you're interested in adopting, please submit an application at savedbyfate.org and we'll be in touch ASAP! A bonus for his adopter: Galley will come with a certificate for a free 5-night stay at Grinning Goat Acres Pet Boarding and Daycare (Berry, KY). Please note: A privacy fence thats 5-6+ ft (depending on material) is required for Galley as hes a known fence hopper. A meet with any approved applicant's current pets and entire family will be required prior to starting the 2-week adoption trial period. Please visit our website savedbyfate.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Additional adoption info

SBF adoptions start off with a 2-week trial period to ensure that the SBF dog is a good fit for your family and current pets. The adoption fee is due the day an adopter starts the 2-week trial period. If the adoption does not work out within those two weeks, the adopter will be refunded all but a $50 donation, or they can put the fee towards another adoptable dog.

More about this rescue

Saved by Fate is a dog rescue organization in Central Kentucky that specializes in pulling dogs at high risk of euthanasia from Kentucky shelters. SBF was founded by Mara DeLaus and Ciara Hagedorn in 2022. After years of volunteering for a fellow organization, they saw a significant need for additional rescue resources in their area. SBF is an entirely foster and volunteer based organization that does not have a physical location or kennel at this time.
