My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Three year old Dorothy does not have any red slippers, but according to her foster, she loves to dress up and be the center of attention! She's affectionate and gentle with treats and toys, both kennel and house trained and knows how to use a doggie door. Dorothy has fun playing fetch but is also content to cuddle on the couch or chew on a bone-as long as she's next to her people! The foster says she's "loving, gentle and eager to please." Volunteers say initially a bit shy, she comes out of her shell with love, patience and a few treats. It doesn't take much to befriend this beautiful girl. She has all the courage and heart you'll need. Just click your heels together and come meet her because Dorothy says "There's no place like home..." And it might be yours!

The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is open every day from noon until 6pm (excluding limited holidays/events). You can meet our animals with the convenience of an appointment or as a walk-in. Appointments can be made by emailing adoption@wilco.org.
