My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please meet Celeste! I am a very friendly and loving 11 month old lab mix who is wanting to be someone's best friend! I love to cuddle on the couch and be next to you to keep you warm and safe. I love to chew on bones and play with the other 2 dogs in the house. We have so much fun chasing each other around the house! I kind of want to play with the little fuzzy cats in the house but they don’t like me too much, so I keep my distance from them. I love going on walks and I am really good at walking right beside my human. I also like to just lay in the sun on the warm grass. I learned really quickly how to sit and shake my paw, and I love almost any kind of treat! At nighttime, I sleep in my crate and don’t make a sound, as long as I have a nice soft blanket to lay on. My foster family says whoever adopts me will be so lucky because I have so much love to give!

All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home.

We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application.

We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information.

We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.

Go meet their pets

As a network of foster homes, we do not have a "shelter location". We do hold meet and greet events each month at various locations where you can meet our precious pitties. Otherwise, meet and greets are only available with an approved application and home visit.

You can view our schedule of events at www.adoptapitrescue.org/events or on our Facebook page, www.facebook.com/adoptapitrescue

More about this rescue
