Rescue FAQs

Our mission is to rescue, re-home and rehabilitate abused, neglected and discarded "bully breed" dogs, with a focus on educating and advocating to ensure all bully breeds have a positive and optimistic future in a breed discriminatory society.
We are a foster home based bully breed rescue located in Dayton, OH. We have foster homes all over Ohio, and will adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton.

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
    1. Apply online at www.adoptapitrescue.org/apply
  2. Approve Application
    1. We perform vet and landlord checks if necessary and will contact you if your application is approved.
  3. Meet the Pet
    1. If approved, a volunteer will bring the dog to your home for a meet & greet and home check.
  4. Sign Adoption Contract
    1. If the adoption representative and you agree the dog is a good fit for your family, you will complete the adoption contract and pay the fee.
