Ava is a darling pooch who loves to give sweet kisses and cuddle up with her favorite humans. While she's not a Velcro pup, she's always by your side, following you around with a wagging tail. She's not one for mingling with kids or cats, but she's a pro at making new human friends when out on her leash.
One of Ava's favorite pastimes is trying to stalk birds and squirrels during her leash walks (she dreams of pouncing too!) but remains unfazed by other dogs or bustling streets. She's alert when it comes to outdoor adventures, and indoors, she likes cozy wrestle play sessions with her furry pals or relaxing near her people. House trained and obedient, Ava knows to signal when nature calls and is a pro at snoozing quietly in her crate, especially when there's a tasty treat involved.
Although she's pretty brave, Ava may seek comfort behind her furry friends or her trusted human when feeling unsure. But don't let her shyness fool you—Ava is a quick learner, mastering commands like sit, down, and come with ease. Plus, she's a dream companion in the car and is perfectly behaved during outings to stores.
Ava's future home will need to have people home most of the time. She'll want an active family to take her on plenty of hikes and walks. She'll also need a dog-pal in the home for future growth and play. She'd prefer a quieter neighbourhood with a fully fenced backyard. Ava does not do well with cats and would prefer a home with older kids or no kids.
If Ava sounds like she could be the girl for you, please check out www.dibsrescue.com for her application. Ava’s adoption fee is $750. If you are a family with kids, please check out our resources on kids and dogs before you apply (https://dibsrescue.com/kids-dogs/).
