My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pepper is a young, slightly timid lady. We don't think she was around people very much - she is shy at first but will warm up. Pepper likes being outside and figured out the dog door fast. She is able to free-roam her foster mom's house and she hasn't shown any destructive behaviors in the home! She is house trained and isn't a hole-digger either!

Pepper is playful with her foster mom's bigger dog and tried to get the little dogs to join in. Even when one of them snapped at her, Pepper just backed off and took it as a "no thanks" and kept on with her day. She even ignores the family cat.

Pepper needs some patience and love to really let her come out of her shell and to learn that humans are not out to hurt her! She is a wonderful, well-rounded girl who deserves nothing but the best!

More about this rescue

A Lab for Life (ALL) provides a compassionate life-line to abandoned dogs that includes a safe haven, medical care by a licensed veterinarian, nutrition (food) and a fur-ever family through adoption. ALL promotes the humane treatment of animals in the community.

ALL was founded in July 2020 by a group of dog advocates in central Oklahoma and
Northeastern US after some had been volunteering with an out of state rescue for over 5 years. That experience solidified a local organization was needed. ALL formed to rescue as many stray, homeless and owner surrendered dogs as possible by partnering with many state-wide shelters and rescue operations. In addition to transferring homeless dogs from the shelters, fostering them in temporary homes and adopting them out, we also provide behavioral and medical resources to people who are considering surrendering their dog in an effort to keep the dog in their homes and out of the shelter/rescue system.
ALL operates under the 5 freedoms for animal welfare.
We are a brand new organization and welcome donations!
