My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Call me Harry like all my friends do.  I am looking to be a part of your family. Do you need an exercise partner or running buddy? Do you need someone to taste test your treats for you?
I'm the perfect dog for you! I’m a friendly, fun and a handsome boy. Give me a belly rub or ask for a kiss. I enjoy eating all my food and then some more. My favorite treats are Kong Cheese in a treat ball (I only get a little cheese a day). I enjoy puzzle toys with hidden treats to keep me busy.

When I see my foster family, I wag my entire body! I love to be held and I love to give kisses. I also love to run around the house and the yard. I need toys that are tough for me. Nerf toys seem to work well. I sometimes roll around outside, and turn into a light grey dog instead of a black one. I love to socialize and be goofy.  I enjoy couch time too; as long as I sit in the good comfy seat.

I am crate trained and can spend long periods of time in a crate, however I would prefer to play. I ride well in the car, but safety first - I need a car seatbelt or harness to keep me in place. When I speak I have an attentive bark when excited or when I want attention (I will be learning bark training). I am leash trained. My foster family uses a Kong harness, which has a handle on it, with my leash. I am a big puppy and I am strong. I tend to pull and jump and am working on calmly walking. I am learning basic commands like sit, look, down, crate, and will give kisses when asked. I go for at least two 30 to 45 minute walks a day and I am receiving additional play time at Houndstown several days a week. I play off all my extra energy then I am quiet and I sleep for hours. I like to go to the park (which is fenced in) and slide on the slide! (leashed of course.)

The funniest thing about me is that I will sometimes run away from butterflies in the yard and giant aliens (small house spiders) in the house.

I am currently fostered in a home that has had several small breed dogs, a kitten, a rabbit and a teenager. When I was younger I was sick and that taught me to be happy all the time and enjoy life.  I am primarily an indoor dog and a puppy still learning manners.

My ideal family should have a fenced yard and lots of time to play and train me.  I have plenty of love for a whole CREW!  Come meet me today and see if I am your perfect match.
