Well, howdy folks! My name's Foster, and let me tell ya, I've got a tale to tell. Now, I may be a seven-year-old hound mix, but don't let my age fool ya—I've still got a whole lotta life left in me, even if it's been a bit of a rough road so far.
You see, I'm on the hunt for a special kind of home—a foster home, to be exact. But let me give ya the lowdown on what makes me unique. First off, I've got these pesky heartworms. Yeah, they're a real nuisance, but I'm getting treatment for 'em, and I'm on the mend. Then there's this kidney business. It's just the beginning stages, but it's something to keep an eye on.
And speaking of eyes, well, I've got this ol' glaucoma in one of 'em. Makes things a bit blurry on that side, but I manage just fine. And hey, it gives me character, don't ya think?
Now, don't go thinkin' I'm some high-strung fella. Nah, I'm as laid-back as they come. That's why I'm lookin' for a calm home, where I can take it easy while I finish up my heartworm treatments. No rowdy dogs for me, please—just some peace and quiet.
As for kids, well, I reckon I'd get along just fine with the calm ones. I've got a gentle disposition, and I don't mind a bit of company. But cats? Well, I ain't sure how I feel about 'em. Might take some gettin' used to.
Now, I know I might need a bit of work done—a neuterin' and an eye removal—but once I'm back on my paws, I'll be good as new. And let me tell ya, I'll be mighty grateful to whoever takes me in and gives me a chance.
So, if you've got a spot in your heart and your home for a fella like me, well, I'd sure be obliged. Just remember, underneath all these ailments, there's still plenty of love to give. And who knows, maybe we'll have ourselves some grand adventures together.

Find the pet for you at the Adoption Center:
Angels of Assisi’s adoption center is open from 12-6pm, 7 days a week. Adoption Specialists and Volunteer Ambassadors are eager to help you find the pet that would fit best in your family.
Adoptable Pets in Foster Homes:
Some of our available pets are currently in foster homes. If an animal is currently in a foster home, it is noted in the animal's biography online. To meet a pet in foster care, please fill out a non-binding adoption application, and the foster parent will contact you to schedule a meet and greet once the application has been approved (generally within 24 hours).
Found the perfect addition to your family? Now what?
The next step is to fill out an adoption application. You can complete and application online (preferred) or stop by the adoption center to fill out a paper application. Adopters must be 18 years of age or older. If you rent your home, we will need to contact your landlord or see a copy of your lease to verify the pet policy. Most applications can be approved within 24-48 hours.
Taking Your New Pet Home
After paying the adoption fee and pending the approval of your application, you may take your new pet home immediately. Adoption fees may vary and can be found on our website at:
