Hello, I'm Snoopy! I came to Midwest BREW after I was brought to the shelter because my original owner couldn't take care of me anymore. My foster mom says I'm the snuggliest beagle she's ever met.
I'm a stout boy - on the shorter side, but still around 30 pounds. Foster mom says I am low-energy - my favorite things are to snuggle on the couch with you, and sleep on the couch or the dog bed. I like to go outside and sleep in the sun, and sniff around the yard, and I like to walk. I still pull on the leash a little. And did I mention how much I love dog treats?
I am between 6 and 7 years old, and mostly healthy. I do have a small mast cell tumor on one of my back feet, and I am on a couple medications daily that help. Foster mom just puts the medicine in pill pockets and I think I'm getting a treat! The tumor will eventually start to bother me more, but right now I feel good and I'm happy.
I have been really great at my foster mom's house. I was already housetrained, so I haven't had any accidents. I don't have any problems being left alone for a long time either - I just sleep on the couch or the dog bed until you get home.
I get along really well with the other two beagles at the house, and will snuggle with them sometimes. I really prefer to snuggle with people though! I am really good with older kids, but haven't been around super little ones very much. Foster mom isn't sure about how I will do with cats either.
If you want to know more about me, please talk to Midwest BREW!
NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).
