My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tubbs is a magnificent 3-year old (perhaps older) male Siamese mix kitty who was brought to the HSOV on March 13, 2024. Unfortunately the individual(s) who left him outside that afternoon did not leave any information about him, so we don't know if he was an owner surrendered or a stray kitty. What we do know about him is that he is a very handsome guy with a sweet personality ....

Tubbs has a gray-and-white short smooth coat, a long dark gray tail, and an adorable symmetrically-marked face with blue eyes, a pink nose, and long white whiskers.

This big loverboy has a calm, easygoing personality and loves attention.

Tubbs was given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on March 15, 2024. He was also combo tested and is negative for feline leukemia, FIV, and heartworm. Tubbs weighs 8 lbs that day.

Tubbs was started on antibiotics when he arrived since he had an upper respiratory infection (aka 'kitty cold'), and he was treated to extra TLC with rest-and-relaxation until he was feeling better.

Tubbs is being listed as a Special Needs Kitty since he appears to be hearing impaired and because he will need to undergo a dental procedure with possible extractions. Since he has not yet been neutered, Tubbs will likely have those two surgeries done simultaneously.

Tubbs will soon be ready to find a fantastic home either through adoption or rescue.

Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation.

UPDATE: Tubbs was neutered on May 1, 2024 and was given rabies vaccine. Tubbs also had a dental procedure while he was under anesthesia and most of his teeth were extracted, so he will be on a soft food diet for the next couple of weeks.

More about this rescue

We are a non-profit shelter giving refuge to homeless and abandoned animals in Washington County Ohio. We strive to make their time here as comfortable as possible. We work very hard with our rescue groups to move our animals quickly and safely. We do this because we work for those who have no voice.

Rescue groups are encouraged to contact our Canine Rescue Coordinator (rescue@hsov.org) or Feline Rescue Coordinator (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net)
