Cinnamon Twist is a beautiful 3-year old female kitty who was found on Second Street in Marietta Ohio on October 29, 2023 after she had been hit by an automobile. Fortunately for this sweet cat, a compassionate Good Samaritan acted quickly and brought her to HSOV and the safety of our shelter.
Cinnamon Twist has an unusual combination of colors/patterns. She has a pretty face with gray/beige/white markings which are characteristic of a dilute calico kitty. She has a brown/bronze coat and a long ringed tail which is more characteristic of a Torbie/Tabby kitty.
Our kind HSOV Kennel Techs gave Cinnamon preliminary first-aid care that afternoon/evening, and she was taken to one of wonderful local veterinarians the following day. X-rays showed that Cinnamon had suffered a fractured pelvis and had a broken femoral bone. She returned to our shelter on October 30th and where she rested comfortably with pain medications for several weeks .. And Cinnamon spent the next five months recuperating while her fractured pelvis mended.
We posted this beautiful girl's pictures on Petfinder and Adoptapet as well as our HSOV Facebook pages when she arrived in hopes that she had a loving family who was looking for her and would know she was safely in our shelter .. But nobody called or came looking for Cinnamon.
Cinnamon was given vaccinations on March 7, 2024, and she was given booster vaccines on March 23, 2024.
These updated photos of Cinnamon Twist were taken on March 24, 2024. She is currently in our Jungle Room (where most of our adoptable cats are housed) and is loving attention and extra TLC from our kennel techs, visitors, and volunteers. Cinnamon has a sweet, outgoing personality and is eager to come to the front of her cage when she anticipated even the slightest chance for a little action (smile). Because of her injuries last Fall, she is confined to her cage since we don't want to put her at risk if she should happen to take a 'leap of faith' from her cage.
Cinnamon Twist has recently been treated for a urinary tract infection and bowel incontinence, and she has finished antibiotic treatments. We hope to have her spayed in the near future and find her her a terrific home either through adoption or rescue.
Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation.
