Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Want a dog that never leaves your side? This pocket sized, spotted piggy pup is perfect for you. Brenda is estimated to be a bit under a year old and is around 30 pounds. She might be part French bulldog, maybe some pitbull or maybe part mini-potbellied pig, who knows.
Brenda’s had a rough couple of months. Brenda was found as a stray in South Carolina with an anal prolapse. She was fixed up and hopped a bus up north. Since joining us with Philly Bully Team, she hasn’t looked back. Brenda has been spayed and fully vetted.
Brenda can be timid with new people, places and sounds but once you’ve won her over with a few cookies, she is a classic velcro dog. She would crawl inside your skin if she could. Brenda is medium energy, with a mean snort and a trophy for one of the world’s best snugglers. She does have a touch of a case of separation anxiety. We are working on crate training but do recommend that the adopter get a heavy duty crate (Ruffland, Impact, similar generic). Despite her size, she’s a bit of an escape artist and likes to make you feel bad for leaving her alone with some barks & whines. With some stability and security, she could improve with her timidness and separation anxiety. She’s looking for a forever family that will provide her the patience, structure, love and all the cheese that she needs.
She is mostly potty trained but does still have accidents during transitions and high anxiety times which also will hopefully improve with stability and age. Brenda is very food motivated. She has done well with other dogs and cats but is playful/easily excited so if you own a cat, a dog-savviness would be necessary. She walks well on the leash and is not reactive to other animals on walks (though a siren or loud track might spook her). She would love a backyard but will likely get used to city noises as she’s fostered in the city. If you’re interested in a mini house hippo with smushable snout, Brenda is your girl.
