My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Violet (grey) and Tulip (tortie) are a sweet bonded young sister duo who are looking for a quiet and calm home. Tulip is the shyer sister where it may take a couple or few weeks for her to feel comfortable in her new home. While Tulip is hesitant of people at first, but if you pet her, she completely melts. Her Foster Mom calls her a roly-poly kitty as when you start petting Tulip she just rolls over like she’s doing summersaults as she just loves pets sooo much and she’ll keep coming back for more pets until you stop!! It’s really the sweetest thing to see! Every day she makes more progress of coming out of her shell. After about 3 weeks Tulip’s playful side is finally starting to show. Tulip loves feathers and string toys! Tulip may not be a lap cat yet but once she’s settled in she loves to be next to you!

Since their Foster Mom has been letting them out of their foster room to be able to explore the rest of the house, Violet has been showing more interest with coming down the stairs and being around the rest of the house and the resident cats. Initially Tulip would come down the stairs part way but was afraid to explore the rest of the house. Well when Violet explored the downstairs, Tulip would meow upstairs like she’s calling for her sister to come back. Because of this we will make sure these sisters will stay together forever as they rely on each other for comfort. But now both sisters love coming downstairs to explore and hang out. They do alright around the resident cats but Tulip still likes to voice her displeasure anytime the resident cats walk near her.

While Violet can still be a bit skittish, she has come a lot further than her sister. Violet loves to play! She has been showing her playful kitten side! She loves string toys, especially those with feathers. There’s time when Foster Mom is downstairs and she can hear them running around upstairs. Violet also loves pets and will roll over and give you her belly for pets.

They would do alright in a home with other cats with a slow introduction and best in a home with no young kids (older kids may be alright as young kids may be too much for Tulip). It’s been so rewarding watching these two sweethearts slowing come out of their shells. They are looking for someone who will be patient with them while they take the time to get comfortable in their new home and someone who will love to give them all the pets!! The wait will definitely be worth it!!

Tulip and Violet were born approximately September 16, 2023. Their combined adoption fee is $275. They have been neutered/spayed, are up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming, are microchipped, and have tested negative for feline leukemia virus.
