My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Beautiful Bindi is being returned to us because, due to unfortunate circumstances, her owner can no longer take care of her. This is a lovely gray girl rabbit with a sweet disposition who will be a fantastic companion for the lucky person who adopts her!

Bindi has soft gray fur and big brown eyes. She is a bit shy with new people and takes a while to adjust, but once she feels comfortale she loves to explore and receive head rubs from friendly humans. She is enthusiastic about food, in particular Romaine lettuce and cilantro. Bindi enjoys lounging, and if she sees you lying on the floor there is a good chance that she will come over and lie down next to you. She enjoys human company and she has also gotten along well with a small, well-behaved dog with whom she shared a residence. This gentle soul is seeking a loving forever home.

We adopt to indoor homes only! If you are interested in adopting a bunny from Orlando Rabbit Care and Adoptions, or would like more information on rabbit care, please visit our website at: http://www.orlandorabbit.org. The first step in our adoption process is to complete an adoption application, which can be found here: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/55856/generic . Then one of our volunteers will reach out to you via email to schedule a time to speak with you. If you don’t see the email in a day or two, please check your spam folder!

Our Adoption Fee/Donation for a single rabbit is $100, a pair is $170, and a triple is $200. This helps to offset the cost of having the rabbits altered, microchipped and vaccinated, as well as any medical care that may have been required.

Additional adoption info

For those that want to bond a new rabbit with an existing rabbit, we conduct bonding events where the home rabbit can meet several rabbits to find a potential match. We work with the adopting family to help ensure that the rabbits bond. We take back the adoptive rabbit if there is not a match.

Our adoption agreement specifies that we will take any adopted rabbit back, should the home situation change in the future.

Go meet their pets

We are a foster-based rescue where our available animals are kept in private homes.

You can see our rabbits online, then make an appointment to meet the rabbit(s) you select.

From time-to-time, we conduct adoption events where you can meet multiple rabbits. Because of RHDV2, these events have been paused.

More about this rescue

We are a rescue and educational group dedicated to the health, care and enjoyment of house rabbits. We believe that pet rabbits are family members and should be housed indoors, should be fed a healthy diet, should be spayed or neutered, and should receive quality medical care. Our organization strives to provide bunny parents with information to help them care for their rabbit.
