My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sir Duke is a 4 year old fiest, weighing 22 lbs. He loves to be outdoors and loves squeaky toys. He also loves to cuddle and be held. In summer time, he will hoard the air conditioner. He has been neutered. It does take him time to warm up to other people, he does good with other dogs, and does not like cats. He is crate and potty trained. A fenced in yard is recommended since he's not great on a leash

Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.

Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
