My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Jolee! I'm a sweet, loving dog and I am so happy to be here in Minnesota with a foster family! I was found on the side of the road in Alabama and I'd been hit by a car. The wonderful people at the rescue took care of me until I was healthy enough to come to MN!

I am a beautiful dog with sweet, loving eyes. I am housetrained! And I walk well on a leash. I get to go for a walk or hike every day here and I love it! It's fun to smell new things and I walk nicely along with my foster Mom the whole time. I am doing well with kennel training. I am in there while my foster family is gone during the day and I sleep in there quietly all night.
I love affection and I will cuddle right up next to (or onto you) to get pets. There are three kids in my household (12, 14 and 16) and I get along great with them. I love to wrestle with them or relax with them while they read books or watch TV. I also love to run, chase and play with other dogs. I've met a few in my time here and have gotten along well with all of them. I can be very fast and I like to play fetch. I like to play with toys, ones that squeak and toys I can chew on are my favorite!

I am a great dog! My foster family says I'm a great mix of playful and laid back. I like to go for walks, play and run but I also love to relax, take naps and hang out in the house. I have a lot of love to give and I cannot wait to find my forever family! Could that be you? Please apply, I can't wait to meet you!
--------------------------------------------
All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption.

Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.

More about this rescue

The mission of Warrior Dog Rescue is to save the dogs that are homeless, left abandoned in shelters, are surrendered by their owners, those that are being abused and neglected, and those that are left wandering. We are committed to providing them the medical care they need, helping them to overcome their past by providing them loving, educated foster homes, finding them their perfect forever home by means of a thorough adoption process, and guiding them on their journey into their new life. They all deserve a “good dog life… every single one of them.”

Warrior Dog Rescue will be a model rescue by partnering with overcrowded shelters that need to make room for more abandoned dogs. We will continue to educate others about responsible dog ownership in regards to safety, spay/neuter, nutrition, obedience, socializing, abuse, and neglect. We acknowledge that we will have a role in this industry to take the lead on providing awareness to others in the community and across the country. Every dog will know what it feels like to be loved till the end of their life.
