Zeke is a friendly & playful one year old great cat.
He was found by a busy street, narrowly missing cars. When a rescuer arrived, he walked right into the crate. We could immediately see something was not normal with Zeke’s eyes. He went to an Eye Doctor and she explained he had an eye infection in the past that caused scar tissue on his corneas. His right eye has too much scar tissue for the back of his eye to be assessed. She did not think he is seeing from that eye. Luckily, his left eye has much less scar tissue & it doesn’t cover his pupil.
Zeke can see well enough to run & play. He navigates a tall climber & does not receive any special care.
Zeke likes to be held & loves people. He purrs as soon as his foster non enters his room.
He has played with smaller fosters but he likes to play fight so was supervised. If he has cat siblings he may need some coaching at first.
He does not appear afraid of dogs.
Due to his play fight habit, he may need supervision with young children.
As you can see he is handsome & he is a lover. :-)
He uses his litter box, does great in the carpeted/ furnished room he is staying in. Zeke needs a permanent loving family.
Although he was found outside, he had been handled by people because he was very friendly. How his eye infection did not receive the needed care is unknown. So he deserves to be loved & cared for the rest of his purry days. If you can offer that, Zeke would love to be your new best friend.

You can also meet him on Saturdays and Sundays, 11:30-4pm at the Petsmart located at 2902 S Shepherd Dr, Houston, Texas 77098.

Additional adoption info
All of our pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and given a flea preventative before they are available for adoption. Cats and kittens are also tested for feline leukemia (FELV) and the feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and must be negative to enter the adoption program.
Our adoption fee of $125 for adult cats and kittens covers only a small fraction of the cost of rescuing, rehabilitating, and housing these homeless animals. Donations help us to provide veterinary care, medicine, vaccinations, food, kitty litter, and other supplies, so that the only limit on our foster caregivers is the size of their homes – not the size of their pocketbooks.
