Dog's Name: Roxanne aka Roxi (ROX0424OWSFS)
Estimated Breed: Rottweiler
Approximate Age: 3 years
Approximate Weight: 110 lbs
Currently Living at: Foster
Adoption Fee: $400
DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Roxi is a big sweet gal that loves everyone but prefers to have all of the focus on her and will need to be the only animal in the home. A fenced in backyard yard is a must for this gal. She has been through obedience training as a pup and knows some commands but will need a refresher course in leash training and jumping. No kids under 16 due to resource guarding. Large bully breed experience a must.
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home. For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.org
