Dog's Name: Pup Wanda (WAN0424MCTFD)
Estimated Breed: Lab Mix
Approximate Age: 6 Months
Approximate Weight: 25 LBS
Currently Living at: Boarding
Adoption Fee: $500
Potential adopters must have fenced in yard
DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Wanda – she's an absolute gem! From the moment she arrived, she hit it off famously with her canine foster brother. They have been having a blast in the fenced backyard, chasing each other around, and soaking up the sun on the patio while we keep a watchful eye. When it comes to chow time, Wanda's all in – she's got a hearty appetite and never misses a meal. Plus, she's a pro at doing her business outside like a champ. Whether she's snuggled up indoors or lounging outside, Wanda's equally content. She's got the whole sleeping situation down, both in and out of the crate.
Training-wise, she's a quick learner! Wanda's already mastered sitting on command, and her leash walking skills are improving by leaps and bounds. Smart as a whip, confident as can be, and overflowing with affection – that's our girl! One of Wanda's favorite pastimes? Curling up next to someone on the couch for a snooze session. She's a real cuddlebug! Although she's a bit wary of indoor stairs, she navigates outdoor steps with ease.
Now, here's the thing – Wanda's got a strong prey drive, and she's not shy about expressing herself. She's got a voice, and she's not afraid to use it!All in all, Wanda's a fantastic addition to any home. With her smarts, charm, and loving nature, she's sure to steal your heart in no time!
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
