My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

CAPE MAY, NJ: Have you seen sweet & lovely Cora? You're gonna adore ha! *her but with a NY accent*

Cora is estimated to be 5 years old and weighs 46 lbs. Cora came to the city shelter as an underweight stray and unfortunately the worry in her deep, beautiful eyes is evident in her photos. And it was clear by her condition that Cora has not been taken care of well. She is, however, an easy- going and loving girl, taking everything in stride. Luckily, she was saved from the euthanasia list in March 2024 and has since been residing in a loving foster home where she has truly blossomed. Her coat and skin are becoming healthy and silky while her eyes are relaxing into a content and loving gaze.

Cora is the perfect sized pal and is a loyal companion ready to be by your side. She is highly social and frequently seeks affection from her caretakers. In her foster home, she quickly adapted to a pack of all sized-dogs and loves to hang out with her new pals. She loves to sink into your lap and gave at you adoringly, but will also sit with you while you have a coffee out on the patio. She is food-motivated and easily redirected, wanting to engage and impress her people. Plus, she does awesome "sploots" to stretch her legs, which are just adorable! Cora’s spirit is FULL and she is ready to make new friends and see the world. Sweet lady Cora deserves a cozy home to lay her beautiful head – and she will repay you with undying love and devotion! Could that be with you?

If you can open your heart and home to dear Cora, please contact AmsterDog at 917-689-8414 or by e-mail at info@amsterdog. You can apply to foster or adopt Cora at AmsterDog.org.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

AmsterDog Rescue does not have its own facility. Instead, we rely on fosters to care for our beloved animals. Our available animals may change depending on your location and we do transport animals for adoptions within a reasonable distance. Since you will possibly be speaking with and meeting a foster directly, an application must be filled out prior to meet and greets.

For adoption inquiries, please contact AmsterDog Rescue at 917-689-8414 or info@amsterdog.org. To get the process started, please fill out our online application at www.amsterdog.org/application.
