My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I’m Aspen, a spirited male Siberian husky that loves other dogs and humans. Aspen has had a rough start to life. Aspen somehow ended up in two different animal controls in the past three months. We think he is a fantastic boy but he got into trouble because he’s a husky. Aspen has tons of energy that he needs an outlet. Aspen’s energy mirrors the energy of the household. As long as he gets regular exercise, he also loves to lay around with his humans. Aspen has a fluffy coat, boundless energy, and a heart full of love. He will make a perfect companion for the right family. Could that be you?

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The way the adoption works is you complete an application, which we review. If you have had previous pets (like a cat or other dogs) we do a vet check to ensure they are up to date on shots etc. Then the last step is a home visit to basically ensure there are no obvious dangers for the dog in the home. The fee is $100.

More about this rescue

Releashed Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing working dogs from high-kill shelters, rehabilitating those that need training and rehoming them into permanent loving homes.

Releashed Rescue will provide food, shelter, basic necessities, medical treatment including shots and spay or neuter, and work to train any animal going through our program. Our goal is to find the right family to love and care for the animals for their lifetime.

Releashed Rescue has a vision of a world where animals are not killed because they are inconvenient. Instead, we hope to educate the public about pet over-population, spay , neuter, humane treatment of animals and how animals can enrich the lives of people including the elderly, children and those with disabilities.
