My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Algeria, the epitome of feline independence with a heart of gold. This sleek and elegant feline embodies the perfect balance between sweetness and self-reliance. With her stunning coat resembling the rich hues of a desert sunset, Algeria captivates all who are lucky enough to cross her path.

Despite her independent nature, Algeria has a soft spot for affection and enjoys the occasional cuddle session on her own terms. She'll gracefully weave between your legs, silently requesting attention, yet never demanding it.

Algeria's days are spent exploring the world around her with an air of curiosity and determination. Whether she's perched atop her favorite sunlit spot or gracefully prowling through the garden, Algeria exudes confidence and grace in every movement.

While she values her freedom, Algeria forms deep bonds with those she trusts, proving that her independence is only surpassed by her loyalty and affection. With her enigmatic charm and unwavering spirit, Algeria is ready to embark on new adventures and forge lasting connections with those who appreciate her unique blend of sweetness and autonomy.

Are you ready to welcome Algeria into your life and witness the beauty of her independent spirit?

Go meet their pets

The Tulsa SPCA is keeping its main gate locked at all times in order to keep traffic to a minimum on our campus. All adoptions are virtual at this time so we will not be allowing visitors on the premises to meet dogs and cats. Thank you for your cooperation and patience.

More about this shelter

The Tulsa SPCA was founded in 1913 by a group of Tulsa citizens who were concerned about homeless dogs and cats and wanted to protect against abuse of draft animals used to do tilling on farms and heavy work in the mines and oil fields.

Our mission is to improve the lives of dogs and cats and engage the community to foster mutual well-being.

We value animals and believe that they deserve love, safety, and humane care. We provide safe, transitional shelter and medical care to all our cats and dogs. We place our animals into forever homes where they receive the companionship and care they deserve.
