My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Billie Jo and Bobbi Jo, her sister, were taken from a home where they were kept entirely outside. They are friendly and enjoyed hanging out in the fenced yard with the previous owner's 9 yr old grandson but have NO manner and NO training. I will be working on leashes with both of them. Billie is a beautiful dog! She is happy and is interested in being your friend, but she is reserved. Bobbi Jo , her sister, is a little more trussing. Billie really needs a fenced yard! She may be tempted to runoff until she knows where she belongs! It is not necessary to adopt Bobb i Jo with her, but they may do better together. They have not shown any signs of food aggression between the two of them. This girl will be a great addition to you family, once she gets over the initial transition...be patient! .

Additional adoption info

Persons adopting from me through internet contact are required to show me photos of the area where the dog will spend most of its time, a vet's number and the number of a person who has known the potential adopter for at least 5 years. I do not require a fee, donations are appreciated. If a dog does not work out for the adopter, I can usually take it back right away, but if I have no room, I will work to find a new placement.

More about this rescue

I am a retired public school teacher, mother of 3, grandma of 7, and I do this because I love to join people and pets. I have always been one to bring home strays, so this is just a part of who I am. I own a small hobby farm with dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, sheep and goats..
