My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Handsome, suave, smart, and adorable – Capone is the whole package!

Sweet Capone is about 3 years old and weighs 55 lbs. He entered the city shelter as a stray after being found alone outside, extremely thin and chained to a fence. Still, Capone kept his spirits high and rocked his behavioral exams. His friendliness and impeccable manners quickly made him a staff favorite -he bonds quickly to his caregivers, often seeking snuggles while simultaneously melting hearts. Capone was then rescued from the overcrowded shelter and has been decompressing nicely in a loving foster home.

Capone is a silly and adoring boy, who loves his toys and treats. He has a medium energy level, but also loves a simple ball chase. Capone gets so happy when you throw a ball, he bounces like an adorable kangaroo! After playing, he will roll over on his back for belly rubs with a big goofy grin on his face. Capone did well when meeting other dogs at the shelter and enjoys going for walks. Capone is house-trained, neutered, up to date on shots, and micro-chipped.

Capone will make a wonderful, loyal companion and will be a source of daily happiness for his new forever home. This good boy has so much love to give, can it be you whom he gives his love to? For more information on Capone, please contact AmsterDog at 917-689-8414 or email info@amsterdog.org. You can apply to adopt Capone at AmsterDog.org.

And thank you for caring about a dog in need!

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

AmsterDog Rescue does not have its own facility. Instead, we rely on fosters to care for our beloved animals. Our available animals may change depending on your location and we do transport animals for adoptions within a reasonable distance. Since you will possibly be speaking with and meeting a foster directly, an application must be filled out prior to meet and greets.

For adoption inquiries, please contact AmsterDog Rescue at 917-689-8414 or info@amsterdog.org. To get the process started, please fill out our online application at www.amsterdog.org/application.
