My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Happy, smiling Kiki is ready to meet her forever family! She is only 2 years old and weighs 50 pounds. She has a sad story to tell about the last year of her life... she has been in a small kennel with barely any time outside. The last time one of the volunteers was there, she literally put her paw out and got her attention and she stopped. She could see how sad she was and lonely in there. So she got her out. She has broken free from there and is now waiting for her new home. She is good with other dogs but does love to play and has a lot of energy so she needs to be matched with a dog who is ready for a friends. She enjoys her toys and running around the yard with them or keeping herself busy in the house with them. She will steal your heart and she will be so grateful to you for changing her life and giving her the world, because that is what she deserves.  We do not know what she is but our best guess is Carolina dog. She is so cute and different.  Fill out an application if you would like to meet her at bcaaofnj.org

Submitting an application is always our first step - it's free to apply! bcaaofnj.org

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process starts with the applicant filling out an adoption application for the pet they are interested in. When they have completed and submitted the application, the screening process is started, which consists of a vet check, phone interview and home visit. Once all the steps are completed, we determine, by our findings, if they are approved, and if so, then they are allowed to adopt from our organization. The final step is they must complete the adoption contract, along with the donation for the animal, which goes into our medical fund to defray their medical costs. All of our animals are spayed and neutered, up to date on all their shots, including rabies, they are parasite free and on heartworm preventative.

More about this rescue

We are the Burlington County Animal Alliance (BCAA)located in Central New Jersey. We are a non-profit organization 501(3)(c), all volunteer rescue that saves animals from our local shelter and surrounding areas of New Jersey that are in danger of being euthanized. We take them into our program, get them the necessary medical care they need and adopt them back out to loving forever homes. We have 60 volunteers, many that open their homes to foster the homeless animals, we do fundraisers to raise money so we can continue to save the dogs and cats in need. We run strictly on donations from our adoptions and people who support our work.BCAA adopts to families in New Jersey, parts of Southeastern Pennsylvania and parts of New York.
