My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Farnsworth, a gentle soul in need of a patient and loving home. This boy found himself in our care when his owner relocated and didn't take him with, leaving him feeling bewildered and anxious. Since arriving, Farnsworth has displayed timidity, understandable given the sudden upheaval in his life. However, beneath that initial reserve lies a heart full of gold waiting to blossom with the right care.

Farnsworth isn't one to immediately shower newcomers with affection; instead, he prefers a gradual approach. Once he forms a bond, he reveals his true nature—affectionate, loyal, and remarkably sweet. All he asks for is a bit of time and understanding as he adjusts to new surroundings and builds trust.

At approximately 5 years old, Farnsworth seeks a tranquil environment that contrasts with the bustling shelter life. He thrives in serene settings and longs for a calm household where he can unwind and feel secure. His previous owner mentioned his compatibility with other dogs and his gentle demeanor with children, traits that speak volumes about his character.

Despite feeling uneasy around fellow canines in the shelter, Farnsworth's past interactions indicate he's capable of forming meaningful relationships with both dogs and humans. With a patient adopter willing to offer reassurance and stability, Farnsworth is poised to become a cherished companion.

If you're seeking a special friend and have the heart to guide Farnsworth through this transition, please consider welcoming him into your home. Please inquire today!

More about this rescue

Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
