More about this rescue

The Humane Society of Stillwater operates an adoption guaranteed, nonprofit shelter that exists on donations from the public. We house dogs and cats here until they are adopted permanently into good homes. The Humane Society shares a building with the City Animal Welfare shelter, and aids in the adoption of animals there. Stillwater's Animal Welfare division can only hold animals for a limited time period; at the end of that period, they are euthanized. Whenever space is available, the Humane Society takes in those animals that are at risk of being euthanized.
