Star is a smooth coat, black and white, 9 month old female BC mix, found as a stray in Tulsa, Ok. She showed up on a woman’s porch with a front leg fracture, a deep wound at the elbow and a collapsed lung. Star came into rescue, where she was able to receive the care she needed to repair her broken leg by the wonderful staff at MU. Star has such a sweet demeanor; she captured the hearts of all the staff.
My foster family say I am the brightest star in the galaxy! I have been on restricted activity to allow my leg to completely heal, and I am feeling so much better!! My foster mom and dad take me out on a leash for a short walk in the yard and to do my business. I can’t wait until I can run and play with my foster brother and sister. They love to play with each other and can’t wait for me to join the fun!
Foster mom says I am a very quick learner. I have aced, sit, focus, touch, come, down, and enjoy an occasional puppy push up. I am very skilled at catching treats in mid-air too, and I do love treats! I am housebroken, crate trained and walk well on a leash. I am working on “off”, but I love humans so much, sometimes I forget my manners. I am not into toys just yet, but finding sticks in the yard is great fun!
I do have the puppy energy, but I can be calm and chill. I love napping with my foster dad, and have been caught lying very, very still, just observing the activity around me. I love all humans and dogs that I have met. I have had limited play time but do well with all dogs. I am on the small side at just 34 pounds.
My foster mom and dad say I am just a delight to have around, and just the sweetest girl. They tell me I would be a great addition to any family. I really prefer to be with my people, hoping to have you home with me for adventures, walks, or watching a movie on the couch!
Do I sound like I would be the best addition to your family? Complete an application at mokanbcrescue.org to have the opportunity to meet me.
