Hi, I’m Mya, a lively Border Collie mix with a sleek black coat. I’m a young girl at just 1 year and nine months old, and I’ve been given a clean bill of health – I’m spayed, up to date on my vaccinations, and although I’m heartworm positive, I’m on a slow kill treatment that’s going well. I weigh about 40-45 pounds. I’m a model resident when it comes to crate and leash training, and I’ve been told I’m the best house-trained dog you could ever meet.
I’m a bundle of joy who gets along with just about everyone and everything. I get along with other dogs and I don’t bother the cats. I’m an incredibly friendly and excitable pup who loves to play and is known as the best snuggler around. My past is a bit of a tough one – I was hit by a car when I was 7 months old, which resulted in a broken back, pelvis, ribs, and leg. I almost lost my leg but ended up healing nicely and I’ve made a remarkable recovery. I am active but I can’t go on a 5-mile walk, for example. I can jump – though I usually choose not to.
Since I’m still very much a puppy at heart, toys are a must to keep me entertained; otherwise, I might find something else to chew on. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful companion who loves cuddles and has overcome great challenges, then I’m your girl. Let’s start our forever adventure together!
