My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾MI AMOR🐾
*** Application link is below & must be submitted prior to a meet and greet.
(Indoor-only, no declawing, Utah residents only, 21+.)

🐾 Hello there! My name is Mi Amor, and I'm on the lookout for my forever home! 🏠 I was a resident cat at the San Diego Job Corps Center. The students named me and absolutely adored me. Unfortunately, the center said I needed another home and my foster mom brought me to Utah to find my furrever family!

I’m what you might call a social butterfly—I absolutely adore people! I thrive on human companionship and will eagerly follow you around wherever you go. I’m quite the conversationalist, too—I love chatting with my humans and expressing my thoughts and feelings in my own adorable way.

You’ll find that I’m not just affectionate—I’m also incredibly outgoing and curious. I’m always eager to explore my surroundings, investigate new sights and smells, and satisfy my insatiable curiosity about the world around me. Whether it’s chasing after a toy, peering out the window and birds, or simply lounging in a sunny spot, I’m up for any adventure that comes my way!

** I need a window with a cat tree and lots of love. I also need to be an indoor cat only because I’m used to roaming and I’m not used to Utah’s harsh winters. **

I might do well with other cats and dogs after proper introductions. I’ve only been around humans before, so I’m not sure how I would do with them. I do well with respectful, gentle children and I am litter box trained.

So, if you're looking for a loyal companion who will fill your home with love, laughter and endless cuddles, then look no further—I’m your girl! Come meet me, and let’s see if we’re a purrfect match. I can’t wait to become a cherished member of your family! 🐾❤️

More about this rescue

Friends of Community-Cats Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization, with an incredible team of volunteers, dedicated to rescuing and saving the lives of cats and kittens whom are abandoned, neglected, sick, injured, unwanted or would otherwise be euthanized in shelters. We work with multiple shelters in Utah and are part of the Best Friends Animal Society Coalition aiming to make Utah a no-kill state.
We take in the abandoned, abused, unwanted, neglected, geriatric and neonatal, sick and injured and cats with severe behavioral problems. We get the cats medical care, rehabilitation and bring them back to health and prepare them for adoption. We have a great adoption program in which we spay/neuter, vaccinate and microchip the cats and kittens before placing them into loving, adoptive homes.
We participate in Trap-Neuter-Return for community cats. We provide food, shelters and medical care for more than 100 community cats daily. We also assist low income families with medical care and food for their animals.
We are 100% volunteer and foster based and rely on donations from the public to keep our organization running. We mostly focus on cats, however we do help other animals as well, such as dogs, small animals and livestock.
Our director, Kali Cristaudo, founded this organization in 2012. Since then, we have grown so much, formed an incredible team of volunteers and have saved thousands of lives and we will continue to save more and more lives every year.
