Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Savannah is a beautiful 2-year old female Pit Bull Terrier (with possible Rottweiler/Cattle Dog breeds in her family background). This good-looking girl was brought to the HSOV on April 9, 2024 by a Good Samaritan who had rescued her by picking Savananah up when she had meandered upon the Williamstown/Marietta bridge. Savannah was not wearing a collar, and she was not microchipped.
Savannah has a black short smooth coat with brown shading on her legs/paws, a large patch of black/white 'blue ticking' and a bit of 'red ticking' on her chest, a long tail, and an adorable face with dark brown eyes, tan eyebrows, brown shading on her chubby muzzle, and short semi-erect ears.
These photos were taken on the afternoon of April 11th when HSOV Volunteer Tracy Lynn accompanied Savannah outdoors for her glamour pictures. Savannah appeared to have a friendly, rather cautious, disposition but instinctively knew that she could trust Tracy to be kind to her.
Savannah weighs 42 lbs and is very energetic/strong for her size on the other end of a leash.
Individuals on Facebook had posted a picture of Savannah earlier in the day on April 9th with a report that they'd found her wandering around on her own and tried in vain to confine her in their yard while searching for her owner .. But Savannah broke free of the tie-out and 'took off' toward the Mountaineer Mobile Home Park in Williamstown WV, and they were unable to apprehend her again. So we will share this post on the HSOP/Humane Society of Parkersburg Facebook page in case her family in searching for her in Wood County, WV.
In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Savannah will be held for three days so that her family will have an opportunity to reclaim her with proof of ownership.
