My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This gorgeous girl is Stella, an almost 3 year old Large Mixed Breed that is looking for an active and playful family! Stella and a few of her siblings came to HSNT from a foster home. A very nice person saw someone posting on social media needing to rehome their dogs, and they took them in and fostered them until we were able to house them! Stella has been housed around children, other dogs and even cats and does great with everyone; which means she would be the pawfect addition to your home! Stella is coming up on her 1 year anniversary of being in the shelter, and to be honest, we don't know why. She is a perfectly sweet and playful girl, she has adjusted wonderfully to our potty routine here, knows a few tricks and is learning more.. we just don't know why she hasn't found her perfect home yet. Maybe she's waiting for you! Stella is current on all of her vaccines, heartworm tested negative, microchipped and spayed so she's ready to come home with you today! Come meet Stella at the Waggin' Tails Adoption Center in Benbrook, open every day from 12-6 pm! Please give us a call at 817-249-3647 if you have any questions!

More about this shelter

Our History
The Humane Society of North Texas (HSNT) was founded in 1905 and is the oldest animal welfare organization in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. While the organization’s name has evolved from the Fort Worth Humane Society in 1905, to the Tarrant County Humane Society in 1910, to the Humane Society of North Texas in 1982, its focus has always been on caring for animals in need. HSNT provides services such as pet adoptions, low-cost spay/neuter surgeries and vaccinations, returning lost pets to their owners, cruelty investigations and humane euthanasia. HSNT operates four pet adoption centers and a quarantine facility in Tarrant County, as well as an equine and livestock ranch located in Johnson County.
