Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi friends, my name is Zayn and I am looking for a human to be my best friend and give me all of the cuddles in the world... could that human be you? I am an 8 year old mixed breed dog, and I am the friendliest and gentlest little guy you will ever meet! I was brought to this groovy place after some nice people caught me wandering around all alone, but now I am getting constant snuggles and treats from the humans who take care of me! I do well playing with other dogs, I like having company around, but I also like having some alone time- I mean who doesn't?! I do well with children, as long as they don't start pulling on my tail or ears! I am an older man, so I can't go on hikes up the mountain like I used to! A nice fenced in yard would suit me just fine. The humans over here say my teeth will need to be cleaned once I get adopted, I don't know what that means I'm just passing the message along! I am still adjusting to the potty routine over here, I do like going outside, but sometimes I have accidents- that just comes with the territory of being older. I am current on my vaccines, heartworm tested negative, microchipped and neutered so I can come home with you today! Will you come and get me? I am available for adoption at the Benbrook Waggin Tails Adoption Center, open every day from 12-6 pm! You can give the nice humans a call at 817-249-3647 if you have any questions about me!

Our History
The Humane Society of North Texas (HSNT) was founded in 1905 and is the oldest animal welfare organization in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. While the organization’s name has evolved from the Fort Worth Humane Society in 1905, to the Tarrant County Humane Society in 1910, to the Humane Society of North Texas in 1982, its focus has always been on caring for animals in need. HSNT provides services such as pet adoptions, low-cost spay/neuter surgeries and vaccinations, returning lost pets to their owners, cruelty investigations and humane euthanasia. HSNT operates four pet adoption centers and a quarantine facility in Tarrant County, as well as an equine and livestock ranch located in Johnson County.
